After a month in South America, Laura and I were delighted to find the Black-throated Sparrow this afternoon (Thursday) at 13 Barnacle Lane, Winter Harbor (and to meet Janet and Neil Buffett who keep their feeder in their small front yard filled). The bird showed up twice, albeit briefly, with a few other emberizids.between 3:30 and 3:50.
In case anyone else has been away and not following the comings and goings, we offer the fact that Barnacle Lane is not on Google Maps, but is easily found as a spur road to the right off Ocean heights Drive in Winter Harbor..
