[Maine-birds] "Winter Birding Weekend" in Grand Lake Stream - Feb. 12-13

Hi All!

My name is Colin Brown and I'm the Education and Outreach Manager for the Downeast Lakes Land Trust, located in Grand Lake Stream.  We are hosting a "Winter Birding Weekend" on February 12 – 13 in Grand Lake Stream and I wanted to extend an invitation to everyone.  On that Friday night, we will have a brief discussion about the Great Backyard Bird Count and how folks can participate, followed by a lecture by Bob Duchesne titled, "Bird Identification Made Easy."  The following morning at 8 am will feature DLLT and Fundy Audubon hosting a "Winter Bird Walk" through town to get our counts for the GBBC.  Grand Lake Stream is an excellent spot for birding in the winter, as the water in the stream stays open and there are several great feeder spots in town.  We hope to have several birders from around the state joining us and both events are free to the public.  For more information, please email me at cbrown@downeastlakes.org or visit: https://www.downeastlakes.org/news-events/events/

Best Wishes and Good Birding!

Colin
