[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week and Goose Fields Update, 11/5-11.

Hi all,

Just a few additional sightings of note over the past seven days included:
- 1 probable/apparent "cistmontanus" Dark-eyed Junco, our yard in Pownal, 11/6 (Photos by Jeannette).
- 1 Red Crossbill, Bradbury-Pineland Corridor Trail, 11/6.
- 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Beaver Park, Lisbon, 11/8 (with Jeannette).
- 1 Lapland Longspur, Stover's Point Preserve, Harpswell, 11/10.
- scattered 1-3's of Red-winged Blackbirds and small flocks of Common Grackles all week, a sprinkling of Hermit Thrushes, and some Chipping Sparrows here and there.

And in the "Greater Yarmouth Goose Fields," the "BLUE" SNOW GOOSE continued this week, but my high count of Canada Geese was a mere 507 on 11/11. A Turkey Vulture was over Woodville Road on 11/11, and scattered blackbirds were seen at various fields this week, along with a smattering of Horned Larks.
