[Maine-birds] Schoodic Point (fleeting) rarity

At 7:20 AM an unlikely near-shore Dovekie zipped past the Point in a trajectory headed toward the mouth of Frenchman Bay (think Egg Rock).

Other observations:

Harlequin Duck - 2 (male and female)
Hooded Merganser -1
All three species of scoter
Both Common (6) and Red-throated Loon (3)
Red-necked Grebe - 4
Northern Gannet - 36
Black-legged Kittiwake - 6

The SeaWatch at Schoodic Point is longer manned on a daily basis.
Please contact me offline if you want any more information or would be
interested in participating in the count effort.
