[Maine-birds] Re: Cattle Egret

Hey all, any updates on the whereabouts of the Cattle Egret today? Negative reports are appreciated as well!

Thanks

Rob

Hi,

Ann Boover reported a cattle egret along RTE 131 in So Thomaston this afternoon. I arrived around 3:30 pm to find the immature bird actively feeding in the near pasture area a few feet from the roadway. (See Ann's post below.) Thanks, Ann.

Hi there,
Just now...
There is one smallish egret in the field just across and south of Maritime Riverside Market in Paulsen's field. It is all white with all black legs and a yellow bill. Darkish tip on the bill. A Cattle Egret hunting in the grass.
