April 20 - We walked several miles on the Hills-To-Sea Trail from Belfast which follows the Passagassawakeag River. There was not an abundance of birds probably due to it being cool, overcast, and later in the day. We did get a closeup look at a pair of Red-breasted Merganser. Some others seen: Wood Duck, Hooded and Common Merganser, Belted Kingfisher, Downy Woodpecker, Eastern Phoebe, Tufted Titmouse, Northern Cardinal, Common Loon, Double-crested Cormorant, American Kestrel, and Osprey.
