Subject: [Maine-birds] tagged dowitcher
Hi,
I photographed an adult leg-tagged s-b dowitcher in the Weskeag front pools this early morning. A yellow-toned leg tag on the left side reading: AUG. Please pass this information to the appropriate band recovery site. I got fairly clear images of the bird and band. Other species in limited numbers included both yellowlegs, killdeer, several least and a single semipal sand. Two peregrines are seen periodically on the Dragon Cement towers. It remains unclear to me whether this is an actual nest site or a conveniently located high perch in close vicinity to Weskeag.
