[Maine-birds] Royal Tern - Popham Beach

While enjoying an afternoon at Popham Beach, I discovered a Royal Tern loafing on the Seawall Beach side with a large mixed group of gulls. Luckily the tide was coming in and eventually forced the bird into the air which allowed me to get good views of the underwing. The bird relocated to the Popham side and was still there when I left. I was able to take some pretty poor photos through my binoculars with my phone.

Happy summer birding!
