[Maine-birds] Bluebird and Canada Geese- Mt Desert Island April 1

An Eastern Bluebird was claiming one of the Bluebird houses on the Peggy Rockefeller Farm at 12:30 noon today, and three Canada Geese have displaced the pair of Mallards at the outlet of the French Hill fire-pond. Photos of both may be seen at www.acadiabirds.com

Wally and I did a brief visit March 31 to the Thunderhole ANP.
Black Scoters- a very pretty mixed flock, 18 plus or minus
Great Black-backed Gulls- several
Bufflehead- I only saw one
Song Sparrows - half a dozen scurrying on the narrow grass margin near the steps to the water
Black Guillemot
Razorbill - this was in a sight-line between the top of the steps and that big green channel marker, and it was slightly farther than halfway out to that. We used our great new 'scope to see it.

there were one or two other things, I have to check with Wally, I was concentrating on the dog
Also on March 31:

TUVU over the JAX Lab
Black Duck on The Tarn
At least a dozen Robins in he Hulls Cove area

Carol in Town Hill
