[Maine-birds] FOY Swamp Sparrow, etc Biddeford

The York County Audubon trip to Timber Point Trail (part of Rachel Carson NWR) tallied 40 species this morning, for those who braved the cold. Highlights included a nice male American Kestrel and a (briefly seen) Swamp Sparrow.
After the trip, I did a little more birding between Biddeford Pool and Scarborough Marsh, and came up with a total of 79 species for the day. Highlights included my FOY Great Egret (Biddeford Pool and Scarborough), FOY Little Blue Heron (2 behind Pelreco), a hen Greater Scaup in with the eiders at Pine Point, 5 Greater Yellowlegs in Scarborough Marsh (3 at Dunstan's landing and 2 at Pelreco), four Red-throated Loons and 13 Razorbills off the point at Biddeford Pool, 6 Osprey and my FOY Red-shouldered Hawk migrating high over Scarborough Marsh, a flyby Black-bellied Plover at Pine Point, about 200 Purple Sandpipers at Biddeford Pool, and a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Hermit Thrush, Fox Sparrow and over a dozen Yellow-rumped Warblers at Day's Landing, Biddeford Pool.

Good Birding
