[Maine-birds] Acadia Birding Festival - IT'S NOT TOO LATE!

Come join in the fun!  Registration is still open for this 4 day birding event (May 30 to June 2).  It is a Pay-per-Event so you can choose as many events as you wish to attend.  Come for part of a day or all four days!  There will be several birders from Maine, including Bob Duchense, Bill Sheehan, Luke Seitz, and Louis Bevier leading walks and giving talks.  Our keynotes from further away are Bill Thompson, III (editor of Bird Watcher’s Digest in Ohio) and Marshall Iliff (project leader of Cornell’s eBird).  Both will be leading many walks and giving workshops and keynote presentations (see below)The evening social hour before the keynote presentations is a great time to visit all the vendors at Festival Center (located at the Fire Station in Somesville), including Eagle Optics, Opticron Optics, Rockjumper Birding Tours, and local artists Luke Seitz with his paintings and Ed Hawkes with his award winning bird carvings.  A silent auction will feature various books, bird feeders and houses, binoculars, and more!

We hope you can join us!  The camaraderie with other birders from all over the US and abroad is loads of fun.
