[Maine-birds] Fort Baldwin - Phippsburg, May 27

Every time I bird this place, I wonder why I'm not here more often.  Although this morning wasn't on fallout levels,  there was constantly something to focus on.  Most looks are at eye level.  Highlights:

4 (four) Cape May Warblers, two singing
6 Blackpolls, all males
1 Philly Vireo, singing mightily

Back to parking lot to scan Atkins Bay:

117 BBPlovers
1 Ruddy Turnstone
1 brick red SBDowitcher

The Dept of Cons. crew unlocks the door to the Obs Tower at the summit at about 9 A.M. every day.  It makes a dandy photo blind for tree-top birds.
