Everyone,
I think I post something to this effect annually, but the productivity of birding by bicycle continues to impress me.
Today I rode to Belfast to work my Breeding Bird Survey route. Headwinds were strong but I did have 63 species by the time I returned home, close to 60 miles later. Nothing unusual, but two singing Warbling Vireos by the Swan Lake Grocery were my first for that immediate area. A good diversity of fairly common species, all in one checklist (poor for data, but that's how it worked out): http://ebird.org/ebird/me/view/checklist?subID=S14261661I think I post something to this effect annually, but the productivity of birding by bicycle continues to impress me.
Good birding,
