[Maine-birds] Scouting this morning for Acadia Birding Festival

Hi all -- Checked out Ship Harbor trailhead, Pretty Marsh Picnic Area, and the Cape Road / Algerine Coast over on the Tremont side of MDI this morning.

Some highlights

Pretty Marsh Picnic Area:
Bald Eagle 2
Surf Scoter 11
Long-tailed Duck 2
Warblers:
Blackburnian
Yellow-rumped
Ovenbird
Magnolia
Black-and-White
B-t Green
Common Tern 5
Hermit Thrush
Winter Wren
Pileated Woodpecker

and great views of seals hauled out on rocks

Cape Road / Algerine Coast:
Least Flycatcher
Warblers:
Magnolia
Am. Redstart
N. Parula
B-t Green
Common Yellowthroat

Ship Harbor Trailhead:
Sharp-shinned Hawk (flyover)
White-throated Sparrow
Warblers
Common Yellowthroat
Nashville
N. Parula

Not yet on station but expected by next weekend?: Alder Flycatcher.
