[Maine-birds] Clay-colored Sparrow - Kennebunk Plains, 5/29

Mike Windsor just called to report a singing CLAY-COLORED SPARROW at Kennebunk Plains, right now (10:20am). The bird is on the north side of 99; cross the plains to the trail that goes down to the pond but if you stay on the road they are watching the bird about 35 yards from the trail entrance. I'd encourage anyone who looks for this bird to be on the lookout for evidence of breeding (I believe Luke confirmed breeding here in 2011) and be respectful.

Good birding,
