Today's high tide that flooded Scarborough Marsh made for some nice close-range shorebirding off Eastern Road. A Buff-breasted Sandpiper was off the south side of the embankment in company with a stunning Am Golden Plover in full breeding plumage. Also present were at least a dozen brick-red hendersoni (prairie) Short-billed Dowitchers, making for a troika of Central Flyway renegades. A White-faced Ibis was at Dunstan.
