I saw the or a Common Murre off East Point Sanctuary this afternoon. The bird was distant, but I first noticed extensive white on the face extending to the nape compared to that on the 6 Razorbills 100 yards south of the murre. I eventually could make out a faint dark line coming from the back of the eye and down towards the cheek.
I was also elated to see a big flock of 100+ terns comprised mostly of Common and I counted at least 7 Roseate Terns.
