[Maine-birds] FOYs Scarborough

Wow! If only it hadn't been so foggy and so close to sunset. Spent about an hour in my yard with several large waves of warblers moving through concentrating on catkins in the maples and oaks. Hard to count but guessing somewhere in the vicinity of 100 birds or more. Just a real treat to have these guys visit your house. They seemed everywhere. Many, many B&W's, sprinkled with YELLOW-RUMPS, PARULAS, many BT GREENS, several BLUE-HEADED VIREOS, and a single REDSTART. Most were just too high and with the poor lighting too difficult to ID. A beautiful RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER was part of the movement and highlighted its stay by nearly running into my picture window.
Karen.
