Ruby throated hummingbird ends up here in West Bethel every year between
the 6th and the 10th of May, and it usually depends on just what
day my Texas Scarlet Flowering Quince decides to open her flowers to
the world.
That was today. Never disappointing , the RTH arrrived on
schedule. Hummer ignition. Glad I placed a fresh feeder out there in
anticipation. Nectar in the feeder, flowering shrubs on the wing, damned
blackflies hovering and swarming means yes you can nest here.
Welcome Home.
