[Maine-birds] Maine Birds

May 10 - I was in Dover-Foxcroft this morning and around 10 AM the sun came out after the rain. I went to Kiwanis Park. I'm reminded of the song, "I was strolling through the park one day, in the merry, merry month of May. When much to my surprise ......" I heard a bird song I was not familiar with. I stepped around a tree and came face to face with a male SCARLETT TANAGER in full view! I walked to the wetland and saw a good close-up look of a PIED-BILLED GREBE. There is a ridge/road that intersects the wetland and I must have scared up two deer who bounded over this ridge. Also seen there were 2 BOBOLINK along with the regulars. Awesome day!
