Went bird with Mark Hoffman. We checked a couple spots along the Heritage Trail which yielded: C. Yellowthroat, Yellow Warbler, female Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Ovenbird, Wood Thrush, Grey Catbird, Tree Swallow, Chimney Swift, Chickadee, Yellow-rumped, Chipping Sparrow, N Parula and a Downy Woodpecker. Then we went to the Damariscotta River Accociation property. Present today were:
Bobolinks
House Wren
Baltimore Oriole
E. Bluebird
Barn Swallows
Tree Swallows
N. Rough-winged Swallow (lifer)
Song Sparrow
Bald Eagle
Canada Goose w/goslings
Mallards
Black Duck w/young
Yellow Warbler
Yellowthroat
Pie-billed Grebe
Yellowlegs
Sora (seen & heard & lifer)
Seeing a Sora was absolutely awesome. Overall a pretty good morning.
