It seems the weather experts(thanks to Derek, et al)were on the money. Fri. evening the woods and fields around my home were bubbling with birds when I got home from work!
By this A.M. the place was hopping. The influx included scarlet tanagers, b.orioles, catbirds, hummingbirds, white crowned sparrow and noisy warblers-even the resident tree swallows perked up.
The torrent also included a pair of pine siskins making themselves to home on my feeders(quite vocal as well)-have not had any here for more than a minute at this time of year.
Hope the group that was here to observe this A.M. had some success-a chest cold precluded my stepping out
right away today! Please let me know what you all observed-thanks.
A female grosbeak arrived to join the lonely male that has been here over a week...
