[Maine-birds] Ash-throated Flycatcher on Monhegan 21 Oct

Via eBird, Travis Mazerall photographed an Ash-throated Flycatcher on Monhegan back on Monday, 21 October. The bird still has much of its juvenal plumage, including tail feathers, only one central rectrix appearing to be new. One of his best photos is here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/tmazerall/10433206974/). This would be about the 9th record for Maine and 2nd for Monhegan. It comes two years after a similarly worn juvenile was on the island about this same date, 23 Oct 2011 (seen by Jeremiah Trimble, Doug Hitchcox, and Marshall Iliff).

Over the past few days, Travis also appears to have seen a Red-headed Woodpecker, late Scarlet Tanager, and a Short-eared Owl (over water on ferry crossing). Not bad!
