We found an adult White-eyed Vireo while hiking in the Ingersoll Point Preserve in Addison. The bird was in scrubby vegetation (along with a Swamp Sparrow, White-throated Sparrows, Black-capped Chickadees and Dark-eyed Juncos) at the intersection of the Adler Woods Trail and the Beach Trail on the northeastern point of the preserve.
From the point we also saw a mixed flock of Horned and Red-necked Grebes. During the walk back to the trail head/parking lot we pished in a huge mixed flock of Golden-crowned Kinglets, Black-capped and Boreal Chickadees, American Robins, Dark-eyed Juncos and a tree creeper.
This preserve is a great birding location! It is managed by the Downeast Coastal Conservancy.
