[Maine-birds] UNE Snow Goose NO

I check the UNE field this weekend and again today for the Snow Goose, to no avail. I've heard other people looking didn't find it this weekend either. I checked West St this evening as well and couldn't find it there either (though there were Canadas at both spots).

In other news, Sparrows. Everywhere. Juncos, Swamps, Songs, Savannahs and White-throats are running amok. I saw my first of the season American Tree Sparrow off Farm Gate Rd in Falmouth, along with my county Clay-colored Sparrow (but no Dickcissel). Both birds were feeding around the compost heaps, down the dirt road that heads towards the water.

In other other news, there were 4 American Coots and a banded Canada Goose in that funny pond that's also a driving range in Scarborough, off Pleasant Hill Rd. I wasn't able to read the band, as the goose refused to slowly pirouette in a circle on command.
