There have been about 2 dozen Coots at Lake Chickawaukee in Rockland/West Rockport since Monday. From the public beach they can usually be seen at the far side of the lake way on the right. I hope they don’t try to winter over again.

Subject: [Maine-birds] American Coots at Prouts Pond
My first 6 Coots of the fall were at Prouts Pond in Scarborough this afternoon along with 19 Ruddy's and 2 Pied Billed Grebes. Prout's Pond is the pond behind the driving range on Pleasant Hill Rd.
2 Northern Pintails were the only species of note at Grondin Pond.
