[Maine-birds] Monhegan -pewee, Least Flycatcher, R-e Vireo, etc..

I joined Jan Pierson and family for two partial days of birding.

Of interest on Monday, 28 Oct: a silent, very late pewee in the fierce wind, we think it's an Eastern Wood-Pewee, photographs posted on my Flicker account. Field Sparrow and a wide variety of other sparrows.

Tuesday, 29 Oct: juv. Am Golden-Plover, calling, very late Least Flycatcher (ph.), Red-eyed Vireo (ph.), 5+ Blue-headed Vireos, Nashville Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Blackpoll, B-t Blue, etc…

Steady birds today during a largely windless day.

Best, Peter and Jan
