[Maine-birds] RB Nuthatch and ducks - Waterville

Normally I wouldn't get that excited about a Red-breasted Nuthatch at my feeders, but it's the first one I have had in Waterville all winter.

Spring has finally arrived in my neighborhood as I had a Brown-headed Cowbird yesterday, the Grackles and RW Blackbirds and Song Sparrows have been back for over a week and I have had more House finches and Purple finches at my feeders lately.

At Fort Halifax, on the Kennebec River in Winslow, I had a Great Cormorant (unusual inland) on Tuesday, but I could not refind it yesterday. I was rewarded with GW Teal, Ring-necked Ducks, Hooded Mergansers, Common Merganser, Common Goldeneyes with one drake Barrows still mixed in, also Mallards, and while, I did not have them yesterday, I have had Wood Ducks there this spring as well.
