[Maine-birds] Bangor Essex Woods Rusty Blackbirds still present

It appears that all of the RUSTY BLACKBIRDS I saw on 4/16 are still hanging around Essex Street Woods at 6:15 pm today.    Across the trail from the actual marsh, in the swampy wood thickets on the Watchmaker St. end of the trail (on the left before the large open field), in the same general area Craig reported some last week I saw and heard several in a bare tree above the marsh.   Several were calling and among their calls was that high squeaky sliding note that’s soo not-Grackle sounding.   They took off as a group flying in the general direction of the field and I estimated between 18-20 (in line with the earlier sighting where they were easy to count).

Also seen were a BLUE-WINGED TEAL pair in the first small open water area on the right from the Essex Street side of the trail.
