Hi all: From our suburban digs in Falmouth:
Winter highlights:
Sharpies and Coopers paring the initial winter mourning dove flock from >24 to about 6 birds. No overwintering FOSP this year. Best winter moment: Heard the "cak cak Cak Cak CAK CAK" of the Coopers one morning, only time it was heard....then a barred owl chased him off his perch, the Cooper easily evading him thru the 'burban oaks...
Best flood of fox sparrows ever this spring!
Now: Eastern towhees in the shrubs--1st ever-- along with WTSP, in smartest breeding plumage ever seen.
