Here in West Kennebunk I have noticed the heightened kinglet presence as well. Spring usually brings just a few uttering only call notes-this time around have seen 6-8 or more every day for over a month and have heard consistent singing; I had never really heard the ruby throat song before-very appealing! Also had numerous tree swallows checking out houses but the drab weather of the last week or so has sent them away again...Sharon in West K.

Yesterday the massive swallow flock continued over Cobbossee Stream in Gardiner. Well over a hundred Tree Swallows with a few Barn as well.
Ruby-crowned Kinglets singing in our (Gardiner) yard again today. Have had them consistently this spring, much more so than in years past.
