[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 6/28-7/4

Hi all,
Some additional observations of note from me over the past seven days included the following:

- ~15 Purple Martins, Belgrade, 6/29 (with Kristen Lindquist).
- 15+ Black Terns, 1 pair Northern Harriers, 1 Pied-billed Grebe, etc, Lake Messalonskee, Belgrade, 6/29 (with Kristen Lindquist).
- 4 Upland Sandpipers, 6+ Grasshopper Sparrows, etc, Kennebunk Plains, 7/3 (with Jeannette).
- 2 Least Sandpipers (first southbound migrants of "fall!") and 1 brood of Hooded Mergansers, Sanford Sewerage facility, 7/3 (with Jeannette).
- 9+ Purple Martin nests, Rte 160, Denmark, 7/3 (with Jeannette).
- 1 lone female Evening Grosbeak has been sporadically visiting the feeders in our Pownal yard throughout the week.

And finally, my trip report from our "Claybrook Mountain Lodge Birding Weekend" on 6/27-29 is on my blog at the link below. Highlights included Wilson's, Palm, and Mourning among 19 total species of warblers, and a total of 87 species.
