Seems ridiculously early but there were at least 8 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS at Saxl Park this afternoon, in viburnum & crabapple trees in the corridor of shrubs and trees past the field across from the Dorothea Dix Center. I saw them closely before they flew up together and joined a flock of 50 or so more Waxwings , which appeared overhead & sounded mostly like Cedars... the whole ball of them then drifted off into some trees further away.
Other birds there today:
House Wren (2)
Palm Warbler (1 foy), Yellow-Rumped, C. Yellowthroat
Hermit Thrush (1)
Savannah Sparrow
