Posting this from California, thus very late to respond: leaving Phippsburg on Sept 11th, I was sure I saw a Black Vulture with 4TVs flying over rt 209 near the Sam Day Hill Rd. did not have time to post on way to airport. Probably same group of birds. rRR

Hi all:
Peter Vickery just called to report that he and Tom Johnson and their group from the Hog Island Audubon program just had a Black Vulture soaring northeastward with three Turkey Vultures over Great Salt Bay (terminus of the Damariscotta River in Newcastle/Damariscotta). Perhaps heading toward Camden-Rockport?
Good luck chasing!
Best to all,
Jan
