While monitoring new migrants, White-throats etc.,out the window behind my house, I was stunned to see a hummingbird zip by. The bird, apparently a Ruby-throat, hesitated briefly at the feeder and some rough looking petunias and moved on. I left this feeder up with the hope of a late hummer....Oct.24th!It did not appear to be a rarity...will keep my eyes peeled.
