[Maine-birds] Spruce Grouse - Vikings / A voice from the past

Is it just me, or is there some connection between Spruce Grouse and Vikings. I think yes. 

The white markings on the Spruce Grouse almost exactly resemble the fore and aft cross sections of Viking boats. If you are a boat builder you will see the resemblance. If not, trust me.  Rob Speirs  Cumberland
