[Maine-birds] Hudsonian Godwit

An immature Hudsonian Godwit was present at Sebasticook Lake in Newport today. It was first seen at the rest area parking lot (adjacent to Rte.7) at the southwest corner of the lake, very actively feeding on the exposed mud flat around 11 AM . Jerry Smith arrived and got some great photos. It was later relocated by Louis Bevier and Jerry on the exposed mud to the right of the boat launch ramp,on the east side of the cove. Today, the road that connects both sites was blocked off due to construction, so a detour through town was necessary. If you're in the area Friday, it might be worth checking for it.
Also noted near the rest area were 2 female Blue-winged Teal, 4 Killdeer, and 27 Ruddy Ducks socializing with 30 Canada Geese.
