Denny Abbott and I were able to find the Pacific Loon quite quickly at 12:30 today off of East Point in Biddeford. The bird was almost directly east of the point, just a bit south (right) of the green buoy. (Many thanks to Louis Bevier for his excellent directions!) As others have reported, there were many waterfowl in the area. The Pacific Loon was loosely associating with, or at least feeding with, 3 Common Loons and 5 Red-necked Grebes. Big flocks of Eiders, Scoters, and Long-tailed Ducks were also nearby.
Pacific Loon was #334 for me in Maine, and #1,989 in the 6 New England states. Just 11 more to go to reach my goal of 2,000.
