Hello birders,
Searched hard for Snowy Owl on the shoreline and around the pool between 8:30 and 10 this morning but had no luck. Ran into a birder on our way into the Sanctuary, and he said the Pacific Loon was off the point near the green barrel buoy, but again no luck by the time we got out to the point. Still, had a nice but icy cold time watching other birds like huge rafts of Long-tailed Ducks, at least four Surf Scoters, some Common Loons, and the usual Common Eiders in great numbers.
