[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week and Goose Fields Update, 11/29-12/5.

 Hi all,

Just a few additional observations of note from me, not previously reported here, over the past seven days included:
- 4 Hermit Thrushes, Portland peninsula, 11/30 (with Pat Moynahan).
- 16 Horned Larks and 4 Snow Buntings, Spring Point Light, South Portland, 11/30 (with Pat Moynahan).
- 1 Merlin, campus of Southern Maine Community College, South Portland, 11/30 (with Pat Moynahan).
- 1 1st winter Iceland Gull (first of season), Pond Cove, Cape Elizabeth, 11/30 (with Pat Moynahan).
- 1 FIELD SPARROW, Peak's Island, 12/2 (with Jeannette).
- 1 adult Iceland Gull, Old Port, Portland, 12/2 (with Jeannette).
- 1 immature male Red-winged Blackbird, feeders here at the store, 12/3.

And the final (most likely) "Greater Yarmouth Goose Fields" Update of the season:
- By Monday, 145 Canada Geese - likely local, pseudo-migratory residents - had returned to the fields of Thornhurst Farm, but Wednesday's ice and snow cover pushed them away again for the time being.
