The SNOWY OWL was seen today at 13.30, in a steady rain, at the usual location on the backside of BIA (where the public road passes closest to the fence). Was sitting on a hummock in a few tall weeds, about 50 yds from the perimeter fence. Ground is snow-covered but owl fairly easily seen if one is looking for it. Appears to be a mature male judging from its nearly all-white plumage. Had great albeit wet views from the fence line.
