A pair of Barrows Goldeneyes just north of Warren Main Street bridge this morning – a female common goldeneye is hanging with them. Hooded and Common mergs below the bridge. Also a male kingfisher hunting over river openings. This solves the mystery of the jay-sized bird that I saw retreating into a banked culvert at dusk the other afternoon.
