[Maine-birds] midcoast birds

The Thick-billed Murre is still present in Rockport harbor, coming ridiculously close to shore, right where AndrĂ© the seal used to perform. The harbor is partly frozen, but one of the lobster boats made a channel which goes from dockside to the outer harbor, and that’s where this bird is hanging out.

We found 15 Cedar Waxwings near the white arches which separate Camden and Rockport on Limerock Street. Also, Owl’s Head harbor gave us both Iceland and Glaucous Gulls, as well as a young Bald Eagle.
