[Maine-birds] Thomaston peregrine

Yesterday afternoon an adult peregrine circled the tallest Dragon Cement Plant tower before zipping across RTE 1 in Thomaston. This tower and the one at Rockland's South End are favorite winter haunts, more often than not hosting a pair.  With sizeable pigeon flocks in both Thomaston and  Rockland, this is an ideal central location.  The photo was taken at the Rockland waterfront in a previous winter.
