Re: [Maine-birds] Location question.

eBird.org offers a pretty good map of where the recent Greater White-front Geese have been: http://tinyurl.com/lbzlk47

There was a Greater White-fronted Goose being seen at the Stroudwater Crossing in Portland (http://ebird.org/ebird/hotspot/L1894899) until January 6th. The fields near here, where geese often congregate, is just west of I-95 on Stroudwater Street in Westbrook. That site has probably been goose free since it snowed.

The "goose fields" of Falmouth/Cumberland/Yarmouth can be well seen by looking at locations GWFG has shown up over the past few years, here is another eBird map that illustrates these locations pretty well: http://tinyurl.com/knpayov

Hope this helps,

Mention is often made of "the goose fields" but no location given. I'm not that familiar with that area although I know that Yarmouth and Westbrook are about 13 miles apart.
