Hi everyone,
-- I had some time to bird in downtown Augusta this afternoon. Luckily for me there was a big group of gulls bathing in the river next to the Water St parking lot. Gulls were coming and going, but my highest single count for Iceland Gulls was 5. I also thoroughly enjoyed watching a Glaucous Gull drop in, flying down from several hundred feet.
Also saw my first Turkey Vulture of the year where W River Rd meets Rt. 3.
Photos of the gulls can be seen in my eBird checklist: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S22334174 or on my Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/35144142@N04/
Good birding!
