> Weather:
> Snow showers lingered longer than expected at the summit today. The count
> was stopped for an hour when visibility was extremely poor, and then
> resumed just as snow ended at the summit. Strong northeast winds made for a
> chilly day of hawk watching. Winds were 10-20 mph for most of the count,
> with stronger gusts, until calming a bit during the final hour.
>
> Raptor Observations:
> Local Turkey Vultures were spotted during the snow showers. A Bald Eagle
> and two local Red-tailed Hawks were also observed in the late afternoon
> following the snow.
>
> Non-raptor Observations:
> Fifteen species were recorded at Bradbury today. A group of three Wood
> Ducks flew by when light snow was falling!
>
> Predictions:
> Tomorrow will be cool, clear, sunny, and winds WNW 5-10 mph. I expect a
> better day for migrants than today, based on these predicted conditions
> some hawks should be flying!!!
