[Maine-birds] Re: Are my ears deceiving me? a warbler song?

Thank you to those who have offered suggestions- a couple thought maybe Brown Creeper as an early and tricky singer, but this was so uniform and simple that I don't think that fits.  Doug Hitchcock then suggested American Tree Sparrow and that does seem to fit with what I heard, and they are daily visitors at my feeder. If so, it still gives me hope that spring really is around the corner!

Maybe I am hallucinating due to longing for spring, but I heard calling, very clearly and repeatedly in Liberty, a whistled song reminiscent of Yellow Warbler only a bit slower and better defined: "sweet sweet sweet- not so- sweet", with all the "sweets" on one pitch and "not-so" a half-step lower; no pause.  Please help me solve my intense curiosity!
Also, have seen a couple of turkey vultures circling around Liberty.
