[Maine-birds] Surfbird - NO in afternoon

Jane and I traveled north to (finally) give chase to the Surfbird. We
came up empty despite searching thoroughly for a few hours. We walked
out in back of Hattie's twice (including a muddy walk out onto the
flats), walked out to Eastern Point, and circled around the shoreline
and Ocean Ave several times. Birds included:

Ruddy Turnstone - Group of 11 on flats in back of Hattie's. No Surfbird
with them.
Purple Sandpiper - Only a single flock of 40-50 on Beach Island.
Distant, but seen in flight several times. Well enough to confidently
say there was no Surfbird with them.
Snowy Owl - One on house along Mile Stretch Road.
Snow Bunting - One
