[Maine-birds] Surfbirds - Yes, barely, 3/27am

Hi all,

I was at Biddeford Pool from 9:00 to 12:15 today. At 9:52 the SURFBIRDS flew past East Point with 6 Purple Sandpipers, passing the easternmost point from left to right.

About 60 Purple Sandpipers were on the rocks off Ocean Avenue at the time, on the receding tide, and I hoped the Surfbird would join them. Unfortunately, the group broke up and of the 30-40 PUSAS still present, I could not tease anything from among them - although I never saw all birds well, and never had a completely clear view of the rocks they were working.

But it is still around. And it's low-tide preferences remain elusive.
